The main focus of The Friends of Egremont, is to promote and encourage community based events, projects and activities which will benefit the people of Egremont and those concerned with its preservation and history.
- We work as a committed team, and invite ideas and suggestions from all our members which will help to achieve our aim.
- All proposals for affiliations to events that are not organised by ourselves are to be submitted for consideration before a commitment can be given in the name of The Friends of Egremont.
- The Friends of Egremont are a non-political group and remain a neutral organisation in this respect. No member may shall offer a political opinion on behalf of The Friends of Egremont.
- The Friends of Egremont are a multi-cultural organisation. We welcome people to be come members from all ages, religions and ethnicities.
- Membership is free to all, and will need to be renewed each year to show continued commitment to The Friends of Egremont.
- These guide lines are in place of a constitution or regulations. The Friends of Egremont give commitment to each member by showing equality amongst the group when it comes to decision making, and other things that affect the membership as a whole.
- As The friends of Egremont grow, it may be necessary to amend these guidelines to give greater representation for the group.
- The guidelines are not an exhaustive list. Any amendments, additions or alterations will be submitted for consideration to The Friends of Egremont, for due consideration.
- No member shall bring The Friends of Egremont in to disrepute, or give false representation in any form.
